A varied race of psychotic creatures that have absolutely no morals or inhibitions. Jesters can range from beautiful to hideous, and usually wear armors and masks to conceal their appearances. Jesters always emit an aura of evil as they are absolute chaos evil. There is no such thing as a good or friendly jester.
Thousands of years ago, Humans betrayed the Weavers and used them to fight in the Elven-Human War. Dragging them down to underground laboratories, the Weavers were experimented on and horrifically mutilated beyond their breaking point of sanity. They lost all their inhibitions, all their morals, all their ability to feel remorse. Because of this, they descended into a dark pit of despair and unholy blasphemy: an abomination with no hope of reprieve. It is not their fault they became these things that are now known as Jesters, but it is their fault for committing the heinous crimes they are so famous for. Weavers that became these things; most committed suicide upon realizing their change. The rest embraced their new forms, and they became the Jesters.
Jesters do not simply end. Jesters breed more Jesters. Jesters torture Weavers they capture to make more Jesters. Though their primary instinct is to destroy and obliterate, they are not without a survival instinct. Basic survival instinct says to eat, rest, have shelter, and populate. So they do. They may not feel love, but they are carnal creatures, and their carnal desires mixed with their instincts demands they continue their race. They breed and spread like wildfire, always contesting the Elves' and the Royals' armies, never giving them a true moment's peace. It is doubtful they will ever be fully wiped out.
Understand that Jesters are not created just because someone has a trauma or a past with multiple traumas. It takes years and years of continuous torture to create one, though some people have been known to break after a month or two.
Jesters draw their power from Voodoo. Voodoo in the world is a dark magic attributed only to those of Chaos Evil. Since Jesters are on the extreme side of the Chaos Evil spectrum, it is only natural they possess the powers of Voodoo Magic. The different types of Jesters will determine their type of voodoo powers.

VOODOO
Voodoo is a magic ability that stems from those who are on the extreme of the Chaos Evil side of things, the primary wielder being the Jesters.
Voodoo is accessed by performing rituals that just "come naturally" to jesters, as if they are preprogrammed with all the knowledge they need to use their abilities.
There are six types of Jesters, each type associated with its creation. One type Jesters will be very powerful in their voodoo abilities whereas two type Jesters will have fifty-fifty abilities.
ie: a Death Jester will be very powerful at Death Voodoo where as a Terrible Death Jester will have some power in Terrible Voodoo and some power in Death Voodoo where their Death Voodoo isn't nearly as strong as that of the Death Jester.
Death Jesters
Death Jesters are created from being driven mad by death; either being killed and resuscitated or seeing too much death. They are attracted to death or the smell of death and hang around cemeteries and corpse piles. They sometimes consume dead flesh.
Death Voodoo: associated with death; raise the dead temporarily, summon ghosts, rot things with a touch, kill things slowly just by being near them, etc.\
Blood Jesters
Blood Jesters are created from torture that usually involves them losing incredible quantities of blood. Blood Jesters are attracted to blood and often drink it, believing they are replenishing their own.
Blood Voodoo: blood and the internal body; manipulate blood, create disease, destroy organs, manipulate flesh, create clones of self out of own blood, etc.
Hourglass Jesters
Hourglass Jesters are created from having been abandoned for a long, long time, eventually driven mad by their loneliness. They are attracted to places near the sky, the old, and the very young.
Time Voodoo: associated with time and space; reverse or speed up time around an object making it age or reverse its age, teleport, time travel short distances, reverse gravity, etc.
Terrible Jesters
Terrible Jesters are created from torture through fear. They love to reveal others fear but hate being afraid themselves. They seldom are. The greater their target's fear, the greater the jester can manipulate their own power.
Fear Voodoo: associated with fear; manipulate shadows, illusions, reveal phobias, transform into target's phobia, manipulate target's appearance, create prisons of fear, adjust and manipulate senses, etc.
Havoc Jesters
Havoc Jesters are created from chaotic trauma, usually linked to very unlikely or shocking tortures.
Chaos Voodoo: associated with chaos and havoc; create explosions, create unusual phenomena, create natural disasters, teleport, turn invisible, etc.
Writhe Jesters
Writhe Jesters are created from agony. They are attracted to any kind of pain in the immediate area dn often create torture chambers within their homes.
Pain Voodoo: associated with pain and suffering; create pain, remove pain, etc.
