Weavers are pretty much humans with the exception that they can manipulate the elements. Some call them gifted, others call them cursed. Although people consider Weavers to be an inferior race, Weavers have survived thousands of years of hatred, war, suffering, and rejection.
Weavers were not always considered inferior. Thousands of years ago, in a time called the Knowing Years, Weavers were thought of as amazing creatures to be respected and loved by all, more often than not, put on pedastles. Humans and Weavers lived in harmony. But then Humans recognized their growing inferiority to these creatures of power and responded violently. Media and rumor played Weavers down to be cold hearted beings who thought themselves above all and therefore a dangerous breed. Mankind oppressed Weavers to the point where they had no more free will or rights. During the Elven-Human War, Humans used Weavers to fight for them, torturing and refashioning them in their laboratories to make perfect soldiers. Thus Jesters came into being.
Facing the verge of extinction, the Weavers knew they would stand no chance against the Elves due to the aftermath of the Elven-Human War. They gave themselves over to the Royals, the entire race unitedly vowing to serve them so long as they would have protection. The Royals agreed, and Weavers became a subservient race.
Weavers do not follow any set guidelines. The majority of the race is considered quiet, loyal, and passionate, though this mostly springs from their role as servants. Weavers are very powerful and still rather formidable in battle. They not only make up the majority of servants, but they also make up the majority of a Royal's army.
Weavers can manipulate the elements, and though most assume these are fire, water, earth and air, there are a whole slew of elements that Weavers have access to. They could be something as vague as Fire or something as specific as Diamond.
